Arun. S. Kumar won the silver medal in high jump in the All India Inter University Athletic Meet.
Kezia Varghese, IBA (Sociology) won the Gold Medal in the All India Inter University Cycling Championship and was also selected to the Indian team’s coaching camp.

ACTIVITIES OF THE COLLEGE UNION 2006- 2007
Hon. Minister for Electricity, Sri. A.K. Balan inaugurated the College Union for 2006-07 on 7-12-06. Sri. Vinaya Chandran, renowned Malayalam poet inaugurated the Arts Club on the same occasion. Sri. S. Sumesh, Chairman of the College Union Presided over the meeting. Sri. B.M. Maneesh Welcomed the gathering. Felicitations were offered by Prof. V.S. Lee, Principal, Sri. Kattayikonam Aravindan, Dr. K.L. Vivekanandan, Prof. S.S. Baiju, and Sri. Y. Appu, University Union Councilor offered vote of thanks. There was a colourful arts festival after the meeting.

The absence of College Union for the last three years has affected the artistic development of the students very adversely. But this year we could organize the Arts fest excellently. The programmes presented by the students were all of high standard. The best among them were chosen to be presented in the University Competitions at Cherthala.

The College Union this year plans to conduct
   •  A film festival during the month of January 2007
   •  Release of college magazine.
   •  Celebrate Suverna Kerala.
   •  A students’ awareness programme for job placement.
   •  Talks by eminent personalities.
